• A 5-day vacation requires only 1 suitcase.

• Dry cleaners and hair salons don't rob you blind. 
• You can go to the washroom without a support group. 
• You can kill your own food. 
• You can leave the motel bed unmade. 
• Wedding plans take care of themselves. 
• If someone forgets to invite you to something, he or she can still be your friend. 
• Everything on your face stays the original color. 
• You can quietly enjoy a ride. 
• A pair of shoes is more than enough. 
• You can quietly watch the game with your buddies without thinking, Is he mad at me? 
• Grey hair and wrinkles only add character. 
• You can drop by to see a friend without having to bring a gift. 
• Clothes cost 1/10th to buy, and your undies come in a set of 3. 
• If another guy shows up at the party in the same outfit. You might become lifelong friends. 
• You are not expected to know the names of more than five colors. 
• You don't have to stop and think which way to turn a nut on a bolt. 
• You are unable to see the wrinkles in your clothes. 
• The same hairstyle lasts you for decades. 
• You don't shave below your neck. 
• One wallet, one color lasts all seasons.

Tales of an immortal

 The taste was exquisite bringing old memories in mind, 

when food was everything for which humanity strived.

Nature provided people full stomachs and some more,

for fruits were in abundance and in plenty for all.

The battle for survival forced the humans to adopt,

from throwing stones to learning to play with rocks.

Even they had excess to eat from each kill they got,

Foraging and hunting they began to bound at last.

Ores the earth provided and the mastery of light,

the wild beginning to look different every night. 

Man and machine were mating together in one,

as engines would bring closer the world to fun.

Exploring the world on ships travelling around,

connecting cultures so the treasures were found.

Instead of being together around a small fire,

differences born hid upon walls getting higher.

Where once there was aplenty it wasn't enough,

as all kept it within and keeping empty the trough.

Where stones were shared now gold were saved,

tools became weapons to protect with the braved.

I had survived this universe through endless time,

walking together but feeling loneliness still fine. 

I have seen the world change but not be better,

my friends were bit simple but fun was greater. 

A love affair of a nation divided in two

सरहदों में आशिक़ी है ।

 कागज़ों में ज़िन्दगी है ।। 

सफर अधूरा रह गया क्यों । 

यारी हमारी टूट गयी क्यों ।। 

सपने तो हमारे एक से थे ।  

जश्न तो साथ मनाने थे ।।  

लकीरो ने कर दिया अलग सा ।  

खून से सनी एक दीवार सा ।।  

परिवार तो एक हमारा ।  

रिश्ते भी पुराना हमारा ।। 

नफरत का नाता कैसे ।  

चाकू बन्दुक ही कैसे ।।  

समय आगे ही बढ़ता जाये  ।

दूरियाँ भी बस बढ़ती जाये ।।   

नाता ना अब रहा कुछ । 

याद भी ना बची कुछ ।।  

देश अब बिखर गया ना । 

साथी भी अब बिछड़ा ना ।। 

वापिस लौटा दो वो लम्हे ।

प्यार से वो बीते जो लम्हे ।।

मजबूर है वो आम लोग ।

कश्मीर के जो है सब लोग ।।

बात है सबने समझने की ।

हम सब को है अपनाने की ।।  

नफरत की हो जंग ख़तम ।

जज़्बाती हर एहसास ख़तम ।। 

कर ले आज हम फैसला ।

दुरी को मिटने का फैसला।।  

फिर से साथ रहेंगे सब । 

ऐतबार करेंगे हम सब ।।

देश हमारा फिर एक होगा ।

मुश्किल में साथ हमारा होगा ।।  

First limerick

My first limerick and it was a teaching moment. Trying to teach someone about it helped me create one of my own.

Muskan has no money 

But she is so funny

She needs some work

or we call her dork

for being a lot puny
